*TOOREEN LADDIE - Outstanding Stallion Through Offspring

Greystone McErrill, 2011 *Toreen Laddie Award Winner
- Donated by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Harris
- Awarded to an outstanding stallion which has made a positive influence on the breed through his offspring
- Candidates must be over the age of 25 or deceased
- Candidate must have produced at least 20 purebred foals
- Ponies must be registered with the ACPS
- Owners must be current members of the ACPS
- May be nominated by any ACPS member

BROODMARE AWARD - Outstanding Broodmare Through Offspring

Grange Dierdre Sparrow, 2010 Broodmare of the Year
- Donated by Dr Marian Molthan
- Awarded to an outstanding broodmare which has had a positive influence on the breed through her offspring

- Awarded in recognition of a career of outstanding achievement of a purebred mare or gelding, demonstrating durability and accomplishment
- Candidates must be purebred Connemara over the age of 15 or deceased

CRESTWOOD SERVICE AWARD - Outstanding Member Service

Vanessa Morgan, 2011 Crestwood Service Award
- Donated by Catherine Mack and Sue Smith in 1987 in memory of Ann Gascoyne
- Awarded to honor a person’s unselfish love, dedication, and long term service on the behalf of the Connemara
- Must have been a member of the ACPS for 10 years
- Given to individuals who spend a lot of time and energy promoting the Connemara
- Recipient selected by August 1 and notified in early August

CONNEMARA OF THE YEAR AWARD
Purebed or Halfbred competitive or non competitive – is recognized for doing something special to attract attention to the breed

Greystone’s Adirondack A’Herne , winner of the Connemara of the Year 2011
- Recognizes a Purebred or Halfbred Connemara that has done something special to attract attention to the breed, either competitively or non competitively, in the past year
- Chosen by the Leaders of the Awards Subcommittees
- Pony must be registered with the ACPS
- Owner must be a member of the ACPS
- Deadline is August 1, send application to the Over All Awards Chair

ACPS ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
Multidiscipline Lifetime Cumulative Points at recognized and unrecognized shows
- To encourage and reward Purebred and Halfbred Connemaras for participating successfully in a variety of disciplines.
- Certificates of Achievement, Bronze, Silver and Gold Medallions shall be awarded each year to ponies that meet the requirements for excellence in a variety of competitive and non-competitive disciplines.
- Points in each discipline shall be accumulated over the LIFETIME of the pony, or until it receives the Award of Excellence, the final level in the program.
- Winners shall be announced on the ACPS website and in the American Connemara Magazine.
- Pony must be registered with the ACPS
- Owner must be a member of the ACPS (Rider may or may not be)
- Achievement Awards form must be signed by the show secretary at every competition, or a signed dressage test will do.
- Points must be submitted by December 31 of the year they were earned
- Achievement Awards forms are sent to the Achievement Awards Leader

NATIONAL AWARDS
Based on National Rankings at recognized events
Awards determined by year end points and Awarded in January of following year.
- To reward Connemaras and Halfbreds which have achieved national recognition within discipline organizations that tabulate national rankings each year.
- The pony must be registered with the ACPS or an ICCPS Society AND with the national association of the particular discipline (USEF, USDF,USAE , NATRC, etc)
- The pony’s breed must be specified as Connemara or halfbred Connemara with the respective discipline organization.
- The current owner or lessee may be required to be a member of the applicable national organization. And must be a member of the ACPS, or an ICCPS Society.

USEF RECOGNIZED TROPHIES – Awarded at USEF Horse of the Year Annual Banquet
McKenna Trophy – Purebred or Partbred high score Eventing Preliminary or Above

The McKenna Trophy, given in memory of Joan McKenna, is awarded to the high score purebred or halfbred Connemara at Preliminary level or above, competing at US Equestrian Federation recognized events

Eventing
ACPS Eventing Awards are given to the purebred and halfbred Connemaras at Beginner Novice through Advanced levels with the highest cumulative score for the year at US Eventing Association recognized events
Halfbred Hunter Award (USEF high point halfbred)
Awarded to the halfbred Connemara with the higest score in US Equestrain Federation Hunter Divisions
Purebred Jumper Award - (USEF high point purebred)
Awarded to the purebred Connemara with the highest cumulative scores in USEF jumper divisions
Halfbred Jumper Award - (USEF high point halfbred)
Aawarded to the halfbred Connemara with the highest cumulative scores in USEF jumper divisions
Dressage
The USDF/ACPS All Breeds Awards are awarded by the USDF to purebred and halfbred Connemaras with the highest median scores in competition at each level of dressage. The efforts of ACPS riders within the USDF Programs (Junior, Adult Amateur, Vintage, and Free Style) are also recognized
Competitive Trail
The ACPS/NATRC Award is given to the purebred and halfbred Connemaras with the highest cumulative scores at North American Trail Ride Conference sanctioned events

SCHOLARSHIPS
Junior Scholarships recognize Junior Connemara riders and encourage them to pursue continuing educational activities with their Connemaras.
Adult Amateur Scholarships recognize Adult Amateur Connemara riders and encourage them to pursue continuing educational activities with their Connemaras.
