Mountain Field Farm, in The Plains, Virginia, is a
small, family-owned Connemara breeding farm. The Wadlow family
got their first Connemara pony, *Runaway Jackie's Joy, in 1990
and fell in love with her! We began acquiring ponies at an alarming
rate, and eventually began producing purebred foals.

Our stallion, Mountain Field's Owen O'Neill, is by Virginia's
finest gentleman, Aladdin, and half-brother to that great performer,
Aladdin's Denver. Owen's dam is *Gloves Maire, who is by Abbeyleix
Owen, a stallion owned by the Connemara Pony Breeders' Society
in Ireland, and out of Gloves Misty, many times Champion at the
Clifden Show, who was owned by Eddie Madden of Connemara before
her death in 1992. Owen's purebred and halfbred foals are large
with good bone, correct conformation, long free strides, and friendly,
calm temperaments.

All of our ponies are given lots of love and handling
from the moment they are born. Anne Wadlow has been riding since
she was four years old, and now breaks and trains all our ponies.
