Eatonton, Ga: Rai Pullen’s mare, Caraway Charlotte (Maplehurst Michael McDaire X Wensum Plum) has had her foal by Wildwych Eclipse….a filly, Castlewood Clare. And Rai, herself, has also produced her “foal”, a little girl named Tarpley Jane.

Vass, N. C. Sandy McShea reports that they have had their first Greystone Tiger O'Toole foal -- "Toolie" (for now) is out of Cady O'Daly Limerick (Aladdin). Sandy says Toolie looks just like Tiger! And "Clyde" (Aladdin's Denver x Ballencrieff's Fleur de Lis [X *Hearnesbrook Dunoon]) arrived a few days later, on April Fool’s day.

Raymond, Ca: *Patty’s Meredith ( Patty’s Silverdun Velvet X Kirkeledgaards Margaux[X Hazy Dawn]) has had a filly by Canal Laurinston (Callowfeenish Mairtin X Village Laura [X Thunderbolt]). Cobbblestone Roxanne was due on St. Patrick’s Day but decided to wait for April Fool’s Day.

Alachua, Fl: In a first ever event for Balmullo Farm, two mares produced foals on the same night. The mares were bred almost one month apart but the two had become almost inseparable during their “confinement”. Thurman Irish Peach ( Landgate Bluebeard X Aladdin’s Rhiann [X Aladdin]) produced a colt by C. R. Roaringwater Bay (Whitewood Galway Bay X Lynnfield’s Proud Hope) at 1 a.m. He has been named Balmullo’s Blue Water Bay. Balmullo’s Jezebelle arrived at 5 a.m. She is out of *Belle Dawn (Laerken’s Cascade Dawn X Lizabelle) and by *Windy Isles (Windy Day X Boden Park Firethorn).

New Braintree, MA: Trum-Searah Farm had some visitors in late Feb. Sally Oxnard, Carolyn McCollum and Lynn Bergeron with her oldest little girl all visited. They came to see the ponies Tullymor's Mountain Thunder (Tullymor's Flying Ace x Kahlua) and Valley Creek Angileri ( Heavens Ridge Patrick LeBeau x White Oaks Greystone Classic) and the other mares, gelding and fillies. There are 10 pure breds and 8 half breds on the farm along with QH's, a Morgan, and a mini. Pulling blankets off to show the ponies proved to be no problem for the Connemara's and they were all happy to have visitors. Lynn has become the proud owner of one of the youngsters. The pony she chose has been known as Searah's Big Mac born 6/18/07. Lynn will change his name to Searah's Calum. He was happy to load on the trailer again for his trip home with Lynn, as he was for the 07 Equine Affair where he was in the breed ambassador booth and loved all the attention he received.

Gardiner, NY: Ginny Winkler has sent pictures of her first Connemara foal, Precious Patti (Greystone McErrill (Hideaway’s Greystone Alex X Erin’s Lassie [X Toureen Laddie] X Narnia Kerry Erin (UCP), who is 23 years old. She is being ridden by her 8 year old grandson, John Quinlan Winkler (Quin) at his lst show. It was the pony’s 100th show! Patti was Ginny’s driving pony and earned her bronze and silver metals for driving. She then became a lesson pony, event pony, games pony, Pony Club Pony. Ginny says, “She has done it all and is as you can see in the pictures very sound.”

Ocala, Fl. Allison Stroud and her team of Connemaras, who delighted us at our 50th Anniversary celebration, was once again first in the FEI Pony Teams at the Live Oak Combined Driving Event held every March in Ocala. She was second after dressage out of the four teams entered, first after the marathon (cross country), and third after the cones, but was the top overall point getter. The photo shows Alison’s team from two years ago, photo taken by Bob Cogliano.
