Do you have news about your Connemara that you would like to share with other ACPS members? News from all over the world is welcome. Email Donna Duckworth with the details and any photos to connemaras@windstream.net. Show results, results of inspections, new foals or unusual adventures especially welcome! The sire and dam of any ponies should be included. Please note that any professional photos must be accompanied by a photographer's release before they can be used.
Brown’s Valley, Ca: Wildwych Eclipse (Glenormiston Flurry Knox X Wildwych Dreamtime), owned by Lisa and Max Gerdes of Redbud Ranch, has won his first Horse Trial at the Novice level with a six point lead over the second place finisher. Max and Eclipse put in double clear rounds in both stadium and cross country to finish on their dressage score.

Vass, N.C: Sandy McShea of Indian Summer Farm has sent pictures of "Belle." She's by Greystone Tiger O'Toole (Rosenharley Laurens x Clonkeehan Tiger Lily [ by *MacDara]) out of Connleigh Carys McMor (by Dallen McMor) and was born on May 5. Sandy says, “She's just a little doll and seems so petite compared to her strapping brothers!” (See the News of 4/6/08 for pictures of her brothers).

 Wilton,CA: Kat Ong reports that on May 6, Featherstone Connemaras had their long awaited filly foal. She is out of Coastal Tully Roisin (Montully's Son x Red Ridge Irish Rose) by Wildwych Eclipse (*Glenormison Flurry Knox x Wildwych Dreamtime).
Both Roisin and Eclipse were the 2007 WCCS Champions for their respective classes, so this filly has big footsteps to follow! Kat says she is everything they hoped for.

 Chicago, Ill: Jesse Cohen of Windy Isles Farm reports that on May 7th *Fairyhill Queen (Fairyhill Hawk x Kingstown Fairy by Village Boy) delivered a dun colt sired by Region I Show Champion Stallion *Coral Bobby (Coral Dun x Sandy Dawn by Grange Sand Sparrow).
Jesse says, “He's absolutely darling with a bold curious people-loving temperament and is entertaining everyone with his antics. Queen has been a super mother.”

Camden, SC: Kate Denton is the proud new owner of Piedmont Rosie O'Grady, a buckskin weanling Connemara-TB filly by *Gun Smoke. Kate has been a member of the Region IV governing council for several years.

 Saskatchewan, Canada: On May 8, a colt out of Glenn Erinn Emma(*Canal Clancy x Tower Hill's Clara). by Century Hills Aedan Zodiac(Century Hill Fredrick McTeague x *Tatham's Ballinanna) was born at Elsie Priddy’s Elodon Connemaras. Elsie says, “ He is very vigorous and curious and I'm sure will be a cheeky fellow - at 3 days old he already is sniffing at us and the cat, much to his mother's dismay. Emma trusts us with him but one poor cat lost a chunk of fur being tossed out of the stall. Some of these first time Mom's are very protective.” The colt has been named Elodon Torin. Elsie also sent a photo of the proud father, Aedan Zodiac, at his first dressage show of the year.

Vancouver, B. C., Canada: Susan McDougal has sent this photo of three wonderful Connemaras just back from a trail ride. They are Aille Ivory (Grange Finn Sparrow x Aille Yellow Rose) who belongs to Margot Watson, Coastal Ocean Pearl (Cashels Eye of the Tiger x Avenns Golden Raini), and Coastal Celtic Ceildh (Hillside Robert MacDaire x Avenns Golden Raini). The latter two belong to Susan. Ocean Pearl was the first inspected and approved blue-eyed cream and Ceildh was the first premium mare approved by the ACPS.
