Aldergrove, BC, Canada: Margot Watson has written to say that Aladdin's Winter Promise (Aladdin X Annandales’s Glenlo) aka Winnie has a new career now that she has retired as a broodmare..... Margot says, “She had a red bag delivery this spring and the little filly was born dead.

Since Winnie is 21 yrs old and has lots of melanomas on her vulva we decided that would be her last foal. So she has come out of 'Pony Club Retirement' and is doing Prince Phillip Games for the first time, with a little 10 yr. old girl from our local Pony Club. They went to the BC Championships this weekend and they won their division! Now this is what Connemara Ponies are made for!!
