Shammer Connemaras imported representatives from the top bloodlines in Ireland to produce gentle athletes and good companions. Tir na n'Og is a 250 acre ranch located in a peaceful, remote area of Florida 45 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, 25 miles north of Lake Okeechobee and about 90 miles south of Orlando.

Foundation sire *Ballinaboy Eamonn won at the most prestigious Connemara shows in Ireland before coming to the United States, with two Clifden Show Championships. He is by Loobeen Larry, the top sire of performance ponies in Ireland, out of Ocean Bambi by Carna Dun. Foaled in 1988, he is 14.3 hand dappled grey. Eamonn is in training with Leigh Ellen Roberts of Big Bear Farm in Pine Mountain, Georgia. They are competing successfully in dressage and combined training, and their future is very exciting. His talent has been passed to his get, who are competing successfully in a variety of sports.

Two and three year olds are offered for sale. They are mannerly, well-handled, and started in light ground work. We believe that when every foal is born at Tir na n'Og, their future owner is out there waiting for us to raise them properly.

Tir na n'Og means "Land of Youth" in Gaelic, and in Irish Mythology is the equivalent of Heaven. The ponies are given the prefix "Shammer" for the village in Western Ireland where Maureen's mother was born (near Kilkelly, Co. Mayo).
