Blue Ridge Monroe is a 14.3 hh 15 year old bay roan stallion by Moxley Duncan out the imported mare *Hayselden Persephone. Monroe will be ridden by Danielle Hebler Monroe is one of TWELVE full siblings bred by Katherine and Bryan Wilkins and Blue Ridge Farm in Upperville, Virginia. Monroe came to live at Cool Springs Farm with the McNicols' in Ohio in 2010 when he was 6 years old. The decision was made to start Monroe on his performance career in the dressage ring. Because of his consistently excellent gaits, his tractable personality, and trainability, it was soon determined dressage would be his forte.
In 2014 he was the USDF All-Breeds Reserve National Champion at Training level. In 2016 Monroe was the USEF Reserve Champion in hand Connemara Stallion/Gelding. In 2017 Monroe overcame the biggest challenge of his life, surviving a complicated colic surgery - meanwhile winning the hearts and minds of everyone who encountered him in his hospital. After his surgery, Monroe was able to return to the show ring last spring competing at Second level and schooling Third. He ended the year by competing in the National Dressage Pony Cup.
We decided this year it was time for Monroe to enjoy life and produce more foals and also to become Jill's more regular partner. Though Jill was not looking for a stallion sometimes a special horse changes everything.
Brambleridge Elsbeth’s Shiloh is a 12 year old Connemara / Thoroughbred Cross gelding ridden by Kristen Young. Kristen owned and competed Shiloh’s mother Lizzi for 17 years in eventing and chose the Connemara to breed to because of their brain, athleticism, and bone structure. The Connemara sensibility allowed Kristen, an adult amateur, to break him herself while working full time in the medical field.
After a brief career eventing at beginner novice, Kristen realized she had a very talented dressage horse on her hands. Kristen also found jumping much more nerve-racking than when she was a teenager, so made the switch to dressage. Shiloh and Kristen won the Connemara Breed Award at the 2013 National Pony Cup Dressage Championships. A traumatic pasture accident in 2015 resulted in surgery to remove part of his coffin bone but he came back strong and in 2017 Kristen earned her USDF Bronze Medal on him. They recently received a training grant from The Dressage Foundation and spent a week training in Georgia. Kristen and Shiloh live in Lousiville Kentucky and are currently competing 4th Level.

The most wonderful quality of Catskill Nola is not how many awards she has won or the places she has been, but the love and confidence she inspires with those who have the opportunity to partner with her. Her calm temperament and dedicated work ethic bring out the very best in her riders. This little black mare is the perfect balance of sane and sassy!
